CrownSoul Entertainment is a privately-owned production company that was founded by partners Almayvonne and S.K. Dayne in September 1999. Their principal purpose and business is to create theatrical motion pictures. CrownSoul plans to develop and produce quality family and mature-themed films portraying positive images and ethical values. CrownSoul also plans to use these same tools in the television arena.
Having worked in various departments at 20th Century Fox, Almayvonne and S.K. Dayne bring to CrownSoul successful entrepreneurial experience and in-depth expertise in motion picture production.
Almayvonne and S.K. wrote, On The Line, Holding Onto Virginia and All About Evette, which they submitted to the Sundance Feature Film Program Lab. On the Line made it to the final round.
Originally a television sitcom, All About Evette was presented as a live pitch at the HBO WorkSpace and at 20th Century Fox.
Almayvonne and S.K. were hired to write a kids short film for a Connecticut based Production Company. The film was entitled, Sister of the Bride and was shown at a film festival in Connecticut.
In 2005 Mark Kashirsky was brought on as a partner. Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will help the Company in producing, marketing and strategizing.
With Mark on as partner, CrownSoul wrote and produced the short film 3 The Hard Way. Almayvonne and S.K. Dayne were the Executive Producers and co-directors for the short which was a finalist at the Hollywood Black Film Festival and the Boston International Film Festival.
In addition, CrownSoul is complemented by a support group of consultants and advisors.
The motion picture market has shown an ever-increasing acceptance and need for films showing morally and ethically sound storylines.
